Tiny Bits Of Holiday: Gift Guide Self-care Edition

The holidays are quickly approaching and the gift guide this year is focusing on smaller businesses near and far. This is the third installment of the Gift Guide Edition (The first guide can be found here with the Coziness Edition and the second guide can be found here with the Homebody Edition)

let’s focus on small businesses near and far

This current edition (003) of the Gift Guide Series is all about the self-care vibe at home. Maybe this is a gift guide you will look for items for yourself (you deserve it) or maybe you’ll look for a hero in your life or someone who needs a little extra TLC. Self-care means different things to each of us, so here are a few of my interpretations for boxes that I check for self-care:

  • Comforting Scents

  • Things that care for my body

  • Things that feel soothing

  • Things good for my mind

And really so much of the other lists have bits (tiny bits 😉) of self-care stuff too. Let’s get started with taking a little picture walk: The first item is a gorgeous little linen/room spray from one of my favorite NWA boutiques, Hillfolk. I love to spray my pillow case or linens with essential oils and other yummy bits of goodness before I go to bed or when I take them out of the wash. The second item is just one example of the many amazing self-care gift sets that my favorite boutique, Bailey and James, has put together this season. They have nailed the easy and affordable price point starting at just $10!

This Ritual/Wellness journal is a great way to layer in some self-care reflection for you or a loved one looking to reflect and dig a little deep. Bonus, it is stocked at one of my absolute favorite shops, Lake Effect Co. If you haven’t dabbled in Dry Brushing yet, it is a perfect thing to explore, especially this winter. Maybe it’s for you or for a loved one who loves some natural self-care, I love the look and function of this brush. This is stocked at a great local GR apothecary, Fox Naturals, that carries tons of handcrafted serums, oils, face washes, etc. Be sure to peruse their website as well! I love this Bath Soak that comes part of a larger set that can be found at Freckled Hen Farmhouse. For anyone who loves baths or wants some self-care, bath soaks, salts, scrubs, and oils are always a great way to go.

This sweet little heart dish is great to add to any gift, and it sends the feeling of love. I absolutely swear by this T-Shirt Towel and I love, love the small business, Lakeshore Dry Goods. This towel not only looks good, but it is better for virtually any type of hair, especially curly or wavy hair. It reduces breakage and frizz and is such a breeze to use. I have one and I am so smitten with it. This thoughtfully crafted planner, White Space Co, has a gorgeous white cover, prompts for reflection, daily spots to plan and a monthly outlook that lets you look ahead. This is for the organizer or the person looking to plan, project, and have a pretty place to visit/plan daily.

A gorgeous naturally scented body/face/hair oil for winter sounds like a real nice plan, and this Everyday Oil from Hillfolk really checks all the boxes. I am a big fan of having things on hand to make some moments feel extra special. This pH Delight syrup is just one of the amazing flavors that can be added to coffee, tea, ice cream or just about anything else. This flavor is one of my favorites and the most versatile- think cinnamon and honey wrapping you in a hug. It’s locally made in NWA and Freckled Hen Farmhouse carries tons of flavors (I’m eyeing the lavender syrup as well!)

I’ve been on the hunt for perfume that is natural and this By Rosie Jane brand comes highly rated! Also in line with adding a little flavored spice to your life, this Cinnamon Harney & Sons tea has always been a favorite for me. Perfect for the winter months that benefit from some cozy warmth. I have a love affair with coffee and I fell in love with the Airship brand while living in Northwest Arkansas. It is family run and the care and attention to detail throughout the entire process of making coffee is so apparent.

Cozy socks work for almost anyone and these ones are crafted from wool that is harvested in Michigan and transformed into wool goods in Minnesota! I recently discovered this great wool company through my friend, Morgan, and I am so glad I have found them. Zeilinger Wool makes lots of great wool items and they have wool wash and wool yarn as well!

Markham & Fitz knows how to craft chocolate from start to finish. They roast the beans in their gorgeous small cafe and they create true culinary delights! They care so much about the cacao process and their customers. I fell in love with their lavender chocolate bar while living in NWA and their care and attention to the entire cacao chain is definitely one to rally behind.

Last by not least, hand cream is one that we all could use after the hand sanitizing, washing, sanitizing, and dry winter climate. I love this hand cream that Rebel reclaimed carries and it’s such a great gift to anyone (or to keep!)
